- A purchase credit note acts as an official document for accounting purchase return transactions.
- The vendor(supplier) of goods issues a purchase credit note to the seller to return the goods received due to quality issues or other reasons. It is issued by the vendor and sent before the invoice is received.
- A purchase credit note contains the reason for the return of goods.
- If you make a purchase from a vendor or supplier and then later you return the goods, you can create a credit note from the original invoice
Step 1:.Go to Finanace >> AP>purchase credit note.
Step 2: Select the customer and purchase return order from the drop down.
Step 3: Verify the item and select post from the drop down and click go.
Step 4:Check and confirm posting and click on POST.
Step 5:Once you click on post you will get the confirmation msg.
